They're the same as far as I can see, but the first one you linked to has a clear fan and blue LED's. Unless you want the extra bling bling, I'd save my $12 and go with the second one. You might also want to look at the Thermaltake DuOrb, I heard it's been outperforming the VF-900.

Compared to the Accelero S1, does the VF900 still come out ahead?

Some of the reviews I've seen on the S1 show a tremendous drop in idle and load temps of the 8800GT. Based on some of the prices I've seen, you could pick up the S1 and the addition fans for about the same price as the cheapest VF900.

Anyone know if the artic cooling nv silencer 5 on my old 7800gt will fit on the new 8800gt ?

I dont have a problem with the stock fan currently at 40% and slight overclock of 670/975/1700. Noise isnt any louder than the other components in my pc however the videocard is brand new.

No, but it does come out significantly *smaller*, which matters to some of us. The temps aren't appreciably different - my 8800GT as per sig maxes out at 59C under load, idles 40C. Ambient temp is ~25C.

Got a Zalman NB47J passively cooling the southbridge on the mobo, which makes using longer GPU cooling solutions out of the question.

Either one would do a fine job of cooling off an 8800GT. Based on what I've seen and my own experimentation, the big thing with the G92 seems to be heatpipes. Cooling solutions without them (I gave my ol VF700 AlCu a shot) just don't seem to get it done.

FWIU NV Silencer 5 is not compatible with the 8800GTs. 8800GT has the same mounting holes as the 7900s, and those are different from the 7800s IIRC.

The Non-LED cheaper model as Trevante said, it cools the same. Don't forget, you'll also need to pickup an additional pack of ramsinks to cool the VRMs/modules. The VF900 only comes with enough ramsinks for the memory. See links.
