Here is what I ended up looking like after losing 7lbs from cold+stomach flu while still being sick, taking a photo in the middle of the night, and never ever getting a haircut.

*snip the pic*

Not far off.

I'm returning it tomorrow. I've been too sick to go out and get it done but I will now.

I'm sure the suit was made with the measurements you gave them. Since you will need to get a suit altered anyways, I suggest finding a good tailor beforehand and having him do the measurements for you since you obviously don't know what they're doing and then go back to him when you get the suit.

Oh, no suit is going to make a difference til you fix those eye brows and hair. Wow, you have no pride.

You need to dump that spread(?) collar and get a cutaway. It's all wrong for your face.

Yeah, my face is a bit long and I'm narrow overall. A cutaway might be a better option. I was just buying something that was considered a safe option. I didn't want to venture outside the norm much but I'll look into it.

Woman love suits like this. It lets them identify the non-threatening men that they can walk all over.

3. Pleated is pretty much dead. Unless you're incredibly old, your pants should not be pleated.

I'm in Asia right now and just paid for a couple of custom suits ($1000 each). The tailor came highly recommended from a friend. The tailor steered me towards getting a single pleat on the pants as he said it should would look more flattering on my body.

Should I call him and ask for no pleats, pleats on just one suit, or let him do what he wants?

This. Pleats or no pleats absolutely depend on the body type of the wearer. They are certainly not out of style (unless you are a 50 lb girly man with straw legs like OP) If You have big legs and torso or outright thunderthighs, you are going to want pleats--and they do look better for the proper cases. And yeah, it's always a single pleat these days, afaik

and lol at the subtle bump.

Suit Comfort does depend on the material. I really like my Joseph Abboud Suit from mens warehouse... worth every penny for the better fabric.

I also always generally wear Shined wingtip shoes. Yep.

Spent about $2000 on suits. Have 4.
