I need to buy a powerpoint projector for a small company for training seminars. The ones the instructors bring usually require the lights be turned off which makes for an awkward class.

I would like to by our own portable that is high enough in brightness and can display 1024x768 with the lights being on.

I don;t really understand the lumens and all the other lingo between LCD and DLP projectors. Any inpuit?

Oh I forgot $599 max price please.

For powerpoint, just get the brightest projector you can find. DLP or LCD won't matter much for you.

Higher the lumens, the brighter the picture. 2000+ would work in most rooms, but the brighter the better.

So, size and brightness with price will matter most.

yeah, 2000 is good for most rooms. Don't know if that can be had for $599 though...not new anyway.
