Buying a Printer

I need to purchase a cheap and reliable printer, any advice? I don't need color printing btw.

If you don't need color printing, I suppose Laser Printer?

I have been using Samsung 4500, roughly around $199 shipped. (600 dpi/8ppm/35Mhz/2mb)

Or you can get Samsung 4600, for extra $30. (1200 dpi/8ppm/66Mhz/4MB) <-seem like a better choice.

Both using 2-in-1 Drum and toner design for 3500 pages.

The NEC Superscript 870 is an 8 page/min laser that runs about $200. I've used a lot of inkjets in the past and spent more than they were worth on cartridges in only a matter of months. So, if you don't need color, definitely go with an inexpensive laser.

How about the Lexmark z32? 1200dpix1200dpi . Its about 80 dollars in retail stores.
