Buying a mobo

I'm building my first computer and I was thinking of getting a Gigabyte mobo. I'm looking to spend around 150 for the mobo? I'm not sure if I should go with intel or amd? Looking to get 2.8 or higher and dual ddr400. What would be the best mobo for me? This will be pretty much a gaming comp.

 

First you need to figure out processor, then the Ram you want, then the Mobo. Also, will you be overclocking?
