Yea, split keyboard no go. And honestly, from what I have seen, if a person is used to the split keyboard, then it doesn't matter what keyboard they go to, if it isn't split then their productivity suffers.

The opposite is also true, if I my keyboard was replaced with a split one and I was forced to use it, my productivity would go in the crapper for at least a week.

It's a pretty dick move to recruit a computer novice into running F@H units for you. Does he understand the ramifications of running his new iMac at 100% its entire life?
Specifically, did you explicitly state the following:
-it will cost him more in electricity every month
-if you run at 100% and the fans ramp up, it'll be a distinctly unpleasant experience with the fans roaring constantly
-potential reduction in the life of the computer due to excess heat

Maybe you should print off this post and see what he has to say then. I have a feeling that he doesn't really know what he agreed to. The iMac is a nice quiet computer, why ruin it for him?

The thing I find most annoying is the bearings eventually going on the fans, causing them to rattle and grind pretty loudly.

Don't think that I am a dumb f*ck. I already said that before he considered a computer.

I agree that the Magic Mouse is crappy. It looks nice and feels nice but it just doesn't function right. I think I'm going to get a Magic Trackpad to compliment my Logitech G5 that I use. The Mac Keyboard is nice too, but it's not nearly as good as my Unicomp SpaceSaver (based on the Model M). I keep the Unicomp on a sliding tray under the desk so it's not like the machine is really that cluttered.
