BTW, what version of OS X did it come with? The most recent version is X.3 Panther, and it's officially out Oct. 24.

Basically any current model of eMac you buy now will come with an offer to upgrade to X.3 for $20. This does NOT apply to the old iMac (which probably came with the ancient X.1).

returned the G3 iMac to CrapUSSR and bought a G4 eMac from Apple. cost ~2 times as much, but it should be worth it if Eug knows his/her stuff...

By the way you can now share Windows and Macs MP3/AAC files with iTunes.

Don't supposse you're taking any classes? Know any students? They have wicked student discounts.
Keep an eye on the Apple site and sometimes they sell refurbished machines at great prices.
