Hi guys,

I am not too familiar with LCDs. could anybody familiar with them tell me what is the best graphics card to buy now?

Ps. I think I need a DVI outlet ?

thanks

Kamui

You only need a DVI port if your LCD uses a Digital signal.

A lot of the current LCD's use analog DSUB like tube monitors

Ok, these are the specs

Requirements:
Monitor includes a 24-pin DVI (Digital Visual Interface) Connector AND a 24 to 30 pin P&D (Plug and Display)Connector. A VIDEO CARD with a 24-pin DVI or 30 pin P&D Interface is REQUIRED to run this incredible LCD display

so my question is, what is a good video card that has DVI as a primary input? I know that the Asus V7100 has a DVI output, but I think it is only good as a secondary display adapter.

thanks

Like hans 007 said , the hercules prophet 2 ultra has a dvi output that would work with that monitor that you are looking at as well as asus carrying a model with dvi output. Just choose the cheapest price one because of the fact that both are so close to each other in terms of performance.

Speaking about LCD's, what's considered the best LCD's on the market now? Am I correct that the Apple 22" is the best one followed by the SGI (Silicon Graphics Inc) 17.3"?

Well

3D Prophet DDR-DVI (GeForce 256 DDR)
3D Prophet 2 Pro (GeForce2 Pro)
3D Prophet 2 Ultra (GeForce2 Ultra)
Radeon 32MB DDR has 15pin DSub and DVI, and maybe the 32MB SDR.
The All-in-Wonder Radeon has DVI as well.
The 64MB Vivo does NOT have DVI though.
