There ya go... genocide posted while I went to dinner :)

But see the amazing thing in the CRX in my opionion is the weight to power ratio. Thats what makes em so quick :)

Oh yeah another thing about the CRX is that its really reliable. :)

I dunno about Eagle Talon but from what I have heard from my cousin who had one he has alot of problems with his.

yeah, I had just noticed that after I posted. The owner approached me when I was looking for my CSX, but between the base price and the cost of transportation, I had to turn him down. It was described as "immaculate", which I wouldn't doubt it is.

Ahh, Relentless and Slugmobile, the living legends :). I was going through Gus's site the other night, that man is a genious! I have been there before, but now I understand enough to realize how much work was put into that car.

Hehe tell me about it, so many useful and cheap ideas! Its killing me because its cool enough to work on my car and its engine is out (didn't have to take it out either!!!) grrrrrrr :) So how are you enjoying yours so far? Any complaints or planned mods?

I've always liked the S13 (89-94) 240SX's. Nice cars, nimble, rear wheel drive. But be sure to get the 91 and up models since they come with a DOHC engine. Only slightly more HP and torque (I think 10 more HP and 15 lb/ft more torque) but it goes faster than the 89-90 SOHC models. Then there's always the SR20DET engine swap. :)

Soy, I haven't gotten it just yet. I'm keeping it garaged until the snowy weather disappears (not that it's hear yet...). I can't wait to take her out though, I'm used to a 93 horse 2.2...to think what 175 would be like =)~~~~~

too much :( runs great though :)

dunno what was done to it. i'm not much of a car guy. a buddy of mine took care of the mods. he's asian. :) all i know is that it was turbocharged and that it gets over 300hp now. i'll ask him more later on.

the car was 20.5k with the sun & sound package. the only thing modded is the engine. no exterior mods or stickers yet. looks like a plain old eclipse. i even took off the gt emblem. it's fun racing people who think that it's a plain ole gs.

i agree, the new eclipse gt does not feel as powerful as the old gst. but the ride is MUCH smoother and it gets 205hp BASE.

the v6 has SOOOOOOO much potential. can't wait til i get more money...

for your price range - definitely a prelude. the crx is too small and boxy, and there too many integras on the road anyway. at least here at ucla.

I'm with Nutcase, less is more :)

For me, I'm comfortable with paying 5.5k for sub 15 sec 1/4s ;)

Tuffguy - your 2000 Eclipse is turbocharged ??? you need to go check out www.neweclipse.org , there are about 600 people on the message boards there that would really want to hear about it. There are a few manufacturers who claim to be working on a turbo kit but so far noone has completed one yet. Where did you get this done?

Tuffguy though you say you're faster than all these different cars, what are your times? :) Estimed horsepower doesnt always mean much, its the timeslip that gets the respect, sounds sweet so far though!

i'll have to ask what was done. the work was done up north in the bay area.

by faster i mean that if a car pulls up to mine and wants to race i can generally beat it. with the exception of the high end sports cars. i got embarassed by a corvette about a week ago.

like i said, i'm not much of a car guy...

genocide: I'm happy paying $6,000 for a sub 14's 1/4 car :) If I had the money and I wanted something better then I'd get something better ;) but in this case cheap is damn good :) I mean sure I could get a 2000 Eclipse and set me back what hmmm $20,000 or more. Oh yeah then you gotta put the mods on it lets add another $3,000. Now my $23,000 car can beat a car that someone paied $5,000 for ;)

Das right.. I've seen many a CRX going around race courses (Road Atlanta and autocross courses) on three wheels. I get a kick out of watching those little cars run around the track.. Weeeeee.. they remind me of go-carts.. so small n' stuff.

perry: they are kind of like go carts but thats what makes them so fun. They are agile and quick. While other cars are big and bulky. I don't think many cars could beat a CRX in a city race but I could be wrong.

Nutcase99, do the CRX si's run sub 14's stock? Or is it how fast the modded one you're looking at runs?

That's how fast its going to be once I get it modded. I think I'm going to buy a stock Si then put a ZC engine it and a few other mods. The installation for the ZC only costs $1000 engine included. I can get a new intake and exhaust and have money left over. :)

The B16 is nice but costs $2000-3000 to install. This way I can get a CRX thats pretty damn fast for like $4000 maybe a little more. :)

Oh yeah another thing finding a CRX with a B16 in it already is next to impossible unless your in cali and I dont (hell I'm going to Fl to get my car ;))
