Ebay is scary when it comes to stuff like cars. Get a Carfax report and don't buy a northern car (unless you don't care about it rusting on the bottom).

Try to look at it physically before you buy it.. you never know what could be wrong. It might drive fine, but make an annoying noise or something that annoys the crap out of you. You gotta test drive it.

I duno, i really wouldnt buy a car without seeing it in person (ask the ebay seller to see it...). Also with ebay you can buy a 30 dollar mouse and be unsatisfied with the description since it was actualy slightly used or whatnot, the buyer can leave a lot out about the car by putting it on ebay.

Read through my thread before you decide to go through with an automobile purchase on Ebay. - Intelligent Ebay Buyer's Thread - Just don't pay $650 more than the "Buy it Now" price like some sucker did on a vehicle that I was bidding on.

With EBay's search tools, it's pretty easy to narrow your search down to a geographic area that is local to you. This will permit you to see the vehicles before placing your bid. Plus, since most auctions run for 7+ days, you should have plenty of time to view and test drive the vehicle. Also, as suggested, don't overlook the use of CarFax to pull some details on the car that you are interested in. Fortunately, the cars on Ebay have the VIN number listed, so running a CarFax report is quite easy.
