The only thing that makees you is a loser, you can get a sweet rig for sub 2k Canadian, or import stuff from the states with the weak american dollar.
 
I dont really understand you people freaking out over $800 for a PC.

I just bought a A64 2.0Ghz (HARDLY the top of the line), AN8 SLI, and 6800GT and it cost me $700, and that was just THREE parts, I cant imagine if I needed to add a LCD monitor (thats allready almost $1,200), PSU, HDD, DVD Burner, Memory....and to the people suggesting you buy a dell and stick and ATi card in there....first off, booourns, NVIDIA ftw, second would you recommend someone buy a pinto and stick a 427 in it????
