buyers on ebay can be frustrating

listed an auction for an old collectible computer. Listed in the auction that I wont ship out of the USA. I get 3 emails from out of the USA people and reply to them that I wont ship out of the USA.

Auction ends with a buyer from Poland on Friday. He tells me he's going to pay on monday and I respond to make sure the paypal address is confirmed in the USA.

Well, he pays and yep, its an unconfirmed address in Chicago. Buyer is also Non-US verified. I tell him he needs to confirm that address before I will ship it and he says I've stolen the pc from him and that he'll contact his best friend who, surprise, just happens to be a lawyer in the USA..

Why do people do this shit.. lol

I just refunded his money.. its not worth the hassle. I am offered very little seller protection since all I'll have is basically a delivery confirmation or signature of delivery, but shipping to an unconfirmed address by an out of country buyer is a big no no.

Also, I cant be sure the item works and put that in the auction, so that just leaves more problems.

I had the same thing happen to me. I think the best thing to do would be to allow international sales but tell them that they'll get the package in 3 weeks after payment since you can hold on to the funds for a while just to make sure they clear.
In my case however, everything went fine even though the buyer had an unconfirmed account.

Did you know you can cancel bids on eBay if they violate your terms of service? Too bad in your case you didn't catch the problem until the bid ended in a sale. Now all you can do is report him to eBay's trust and safety!
