There are times when I have a butt load of cash and I would like to buy something. But I don't have enough cash on hand and I don't really want to put it all on my credit card. Would stores let you pay some with cash and the rest on a credit card?

I see no reason why they wouldn't allow that. I used to work as a cashier in a supermarket; some people would pay half cash/half credit.

It's possible, but as to whether or not they will accomodate, that's another story.

Most stores will let you do this. Just ask! There is no harm in actually talking to people.

Most stores will let you use two forms of payment.

I tried to use gift card, debit and cash on a purchase at CompUSA. They said they only could only do two forms of payment so they had me buy a gift card, using cash and debit card. Then I paid with that gift card, plus the one I brought in myself.

Why not just put it on your CC and just pay it off? As it sounds as though you have the money to pay off the CC at the end of the month.
