Got my phone yesterday, didn't think of getting a new sim beforehand so found BB had the best sale for only $5.

Coming from a 4.5+ year old device based on a 7 year old device, this thing is like moving from a netbook to a main frame. Soooo much nicer/smother etc... So odd to open webpages and actually have images enabled :)

While I'm lacking some of the Tmo LTE bands, been driving around town today and have had good signal so far. Next week at work and heading into a couple stores where me 3g would drop out will be the real test.

Haven't tried disabling 4g yet to try out the 3g portion, but the 4g is good enough to keep it. Will probably do some troubleshooting on other bands later.

That's odd. Which BB did you get? Except for a specific model of the Z-10, they should all have the 2100MHz band for T-Mobile LTE.
