Wow.. You must live in the middle of Iowa or Nebraska. $185K seems very reasonable regardless of who owned it.

Dawson's Creek, as far as I know, was filmed in NC. The show took place in MA, but they filmed it in NC so that they could film all year.

You're friend is not full of it. Katie did grow up in Ohio..about 3 minutes from where I live.

It's funny you mention that. She grew up in Toledo, and there's actually a LaGrange street. I highly doubt she'd live there though.

One of my best friends went to school with Katie Holmes. They weren't really in the same clique, so they didn't know each other (fairly large catholic high school). I had a roomate in college who knew her in HS as well, but I never asked how close they were.
 
I don't know where you guys are getting those astronomical figures from. I say that house would go for $110G here (land is cheap here), I seriouly doubt that would go for half a million anywhere.
