i stopped by my local officemax store to checkout the clearance table and found this little deal. The clearance table had several boxes of imation 50 pack 3.5 diskettes on sale for $5.00 down from $19. i noticed a $15 rebate on all the boxes. i pulled out one rebate from an already opened box and read the following details.

Receive: $15 cash rebate
Send:
a) this certificate
b) original or copy of cash register receipt from this purchase
c) original upc (bar code) from this purchase

every rebate request must include an actual mail-in certificate per pack and dated cash register receipt. rebate must be redeemed within 30 days of purchase. limit up to 3 rebate request per person or mailing address per pack size per calendar year.

thats it, no expiration date anywhere on the rebate. not sure if this deal is nation wide, good luck.

i picked up 3 boxes for $15 and will get back $45 :)

Damn I wish you would've told me about this a week ago, then again I don't think I would probably make the time to go all the way to officemax without a car but otherwise a good deal and a bump.

Thanks for the notice.
Good deal!
We can all become our parents now:
"I remember when floppies were $1.00 each,
& we were grateful we had them!"

This is a great deal, thanks Chico! I've done two Imation floppy disk rebates in the past and both arrived without a problem, took about 2 months but hey it's FREE MONEY!

This is only regional right?

I just got back from my local OM, and I didn't see any of them on sale.

i remember cashing on this deal.

the rebate only works $5 for each pack of 50 (up to three altogether). i bought three, so I got 15 back for buying 150 disks. that's a ridiculous number of disks that have very little use these days.

Free, so i can't complain.

anyone know for sure if they will rebate above the sale price?

for sure = more than an 80% likelihood is sure enough for me

I also posed another question to Imation

------------------------------------------------
Jxxxxxxa,
>
> Sorry to be a pest, I know I am.
>
> Quoting from the rebate form:
> "Limit up to 3 rebate requests per person or mailing address per pack size
> per calendar year."
>
> I just bot 2 packages on separate receipts. Do I need to send
> in two rebate requests in separate envelopes containing rebate requirement
> items, or could I send in up to 3 rebate requests per envelope to the same
> person/same address.
>
> Thank you.
---------------------------------------------------------------

And here is the reply

----------------------------------------------
> You can send all 3 of your rebate requests in one envelope but make sure
> you have the UPC bar code and sales receipt for both of your rebate
> coupons.

> Thank you

anyone doing this rebate, make sure you only purchase the box that says
"$15 rebate by mail on this 50 pack purchase", because there is a rebate
form inside. They do not take dup, forms nor can you download it anywhere.
Only original form accepted. Also, Make sure the box is still sealed.
There was a box not sealed and someone already ripped off the form inside.

<< Don't they only send you a rebate for the 'purchase price', up to $15?? >>

So I haven't seen the answer yet.....

Do they send you back the $5 per box you paid, or $15 per box?

Thanks.
