i am looking for a branded pc. i have selected dell inspiron 530 as one of the choices.

Q6600
3gb 667 mhz
8600 gt
250gb
dell se198wfp

please clear my following doubts:

1. How is this as a choice as i have around Rs 45000($1100) and cant stretch upto XPS. How is its overall performance?

2. I heard that there might be a power supply problem with this pc if i use 8600 with this pc.(i dont have funds to change it!) Is it true?

i am new to this forum so please try and give your best suggestions(new kid on the blocks:cool:!).

Hoping for help from some techies out there!

The PSU is fine for the 8600 GT card.

If you do plan on doing heavier gaming, you really should wait and save some money and get an XPS 420, as the PSU in it is beefier and can handle more powerful video cards.

I imagine Dell India doesn't have an Outlet store?

i wont require a more powerful card than 8600gt for the next two years atleast as i am not much into gaming.

1. Will i be able to play games like nfs MW, carbon, UG2 and gta on it?

2. I will be buying it online as dell has no store near my city, i.e new Delhi

3. Is there anything about inspiron 530 which i should be vary of(Its drawbacks)?

1. I would think any game on the market will play using an 8600 GT. Performance will vary of course.

3. No PATA connections whatsoever, so don't plan on using anything but SATA drives. Two internal hard drive bays.
