KMart B&M stores will be doling out systems in a drawing...

They open at 8AM (at least store in my town does), and the Home Elec guy told me they'll have the drawing at 8. I'm in a small-ass town (Corvallis, OR = pop. ~40,000?), and still there's gonna be 15 systems... might be worth checking out.

Yeah, I had the bundle in my cart about 20 minutes ago with the Playstation unit as well but there was a message above the Playstation line in red small print, "sold out"...I must have just missed out...

I guess I'll have to keep trying for a bit

heh, i also kept clicking the refresh button every so often and all i kept getting was the "keep checking back later" message... and all of a sudden it just took me back to the main ps2 page (with no link to the bundle of course)... when i finally did get to the bundle page after dealing with a billion "Requested File is not currently available in cluster 'anandforumcluster'. Please try again later." messages from anandtech(about 15 min. after everyone else saw it), it added all the items to the cart (except the ps2 itself).

Question to iwearnosox and all of you who did get it--how did you figure out the link to the bundle url--i couldn't find it until it was posted here?!?)

oh well...

Won't Buy.com be a bunch of dirty b@ast@rds if they put the bundled set up at 12EST/9PST and then put up the single pak for the PS2 at 12PST/3EST?

Time to load up EGay...

Amazon will sell their bundles for $500 tomorrow at noon pacific. That's $50 more than buy.com's, and is too rich for my blood.

I didn't even know that the link was in the business section. I just saw the link on the main "GAMES" page and I got it.

I'm looking over my online reciept, and I notice that all the items
have a little star next to it on the left side.

But the $299.99 unit itself doesn't have that little star. Instead, it has
a little "tag" like thingy...what's that mean?

I looked at the other receipts posted in this thread...same thing

I got mine at 12:39 Michigan time. PS2 showed up as the last item in the bundle.

Pretty funny, actually. I just got done watching Sharon Stone in The Quick and the Dead and thought I would check out the board to see if anybody got one. You'all were bit*hing about it not going on sale yet, so I hit the link and WHAM!!! there it was~MINE ALL MINE~~insert maniacal laugh here~~

Just my luck, it kicked out my coupon on the last page...dirty rotten bastages.

damn damn damn. Anyone check out the Amazon.com PLaystation 2 auction? People are actually bidding $900+ on them. So whoever still wants one badly, this is the way to go.

crazydave;

I've actually known about it all day but waited till I had a confirm before I posted it. These deal forums are closely watched- if I made a peep I'd of screwed myself.

Having said that: I followed the link to the Ps2 promo page and it contained an item # for buy- I copied that number, surfed to the consumer side and viewed a random item there. Once I downloaded the page I pasted the Ps2 number into the URL and hit return. The consumer side didn't return squat, but the biz side returned the bundle. It had a "buy" link already on it, however it wouldn't put anything in the basket if you clicked it. So I surmised that it was most likely that that would be enabled before any creative changes on the front end showed the item in stock. I made a custom bookmark from the buy link in my browser:

http://www.us.buy.com/basket/addite...p;sku=50009728&sku=40137445&loc=13198

Once it became available it was instantly put in my cart. :)

Sorry some of you didn't get one, I tried to tell you as soon as I could but the forum kept crashing.

Baiting people in with a bundle, allowing people to put said bundle in cart then quietly taking bait portion of bundle out of the cart when checking out is an illegal bait-and-switch tactic. Period

Their programmers did not allow a reasonable amount of time to enter credit card info etc. before making the same unit in your cart "available" for others to purchase.

Good luck people getting the from B&M stores. Watch. it will be hide and seek. Find the PS2 under the barbie dolls or on the top of the bouncy ball cage...

Maybe in the bathroom under the urinal.

No, i bet its in the bigscreen TVs. dont forget to take your sledgehammers

I never though i'd say this, but this deceit makes buy.com suck.

Someone brought up a good idea, since all the other items that was bundled were added individually, it would be interested if we could return the unwanted accessories?
