Buy.com PMOTD - Seiko SmartPad for $49

Techbarg listed Buy.com's PMOTD as the Seiko Smartpad for $49. This thing is still listing for $149 at Seiko's own store (seikosmart.com). Seems like a good deal for those that don't want to fool with the little keyboards.

Is this that bad of deal or is it that bad of a product that there aren't any comments?

Writing on paper and transferring it to the Palm in a graphics format ... it's not functional. You can write right on the screen with many software (namely Diddle) and carrying that huge thing defeats the purpose of having a Palm.

Even to those that find it functional, I think the price is still quite high especially since scanners are cheap and it's almost just as easy to write things and scan them in to the PC.
