BUY.COM Merger

They are planning to merge with a company that the founder of Buy.com owns.
I received the proxy voting material last night. (I am a buy.com stockholder) There is 40-50 pages of attorney document and I do not have time to read it yet.

<< whats a proxy vote >>

If you own stock in a company, you usually will receive a proxy form before the annual shareholders meeting to vote on the proposals they will be putting forth at the meeting. One share = one vote.

I bought the stock at IPO and paying $23 per share 🙁

I was going to sell it last December but the transaction cost to sell the stocks is more than the face value of the shares.

I lost $1000 on this stock.

I don't think this is anything new, click SEARCH and check the archived messages.

I sure do miss their $30 off $150 coupons plus free shipping deals.

Hell I miss the $10 off $10 purchase coupons. Back when webcertificates was giving away the $5 certificates like candy I was able to get countless free CDs from buy.com.
