Which brand of USB adapter is generally the best? How much speed do you lose going from PCI to USB?

This adapter has great reception. I installed one for a friend in her finished home basement. The Linksys router is tucked away in a basement closet and the PC is on the far opposite end of the basement, signaling passing thru 3 walls, and line of sight distance 40+ feet, and the adapter shows 100% signal strength.

Scam

becarefull buying anything with a rebate from buy.com. They are partners with greatfun(Trilegiant) and you may get an unexpected $9.99 charge on your credit card. There is a link here at AT about the scam as well on dsl reports.

I wonder how frequently this "scam" occurs? I don't see anything on the rebate form for the WAP11 indicating a buyer consents to joining Great Fun. Have others had this same thing happen to them?

I wouldn't post if my experience was positive. I was charged the $9.99 fee after sending in a rebate for a memorex traveldrive. The charge was recurring and a pain to get removed.

I have done 6 rebates with Buycom the past several months without any problem.
