Looks like they got me too. I did not receive an email yet but I checked the TCA website for a status. My $20 rebate for Kingston RAM from Egghead was denied because they used the shipped date on the order packing list which was 11/1. I ordered it on 10/29. I originally sent them a copy of the online order and the packing list along with the rebate form. Rebate was only good for 10/27-10/30. I bet they will deny a lot of people on this one because the rebate timeframe was so short and over a weekend. I'll also bet that none of the orders shipped until 11/1. Good thing I keep copies of everything. Looks like I will have to call TCA and (rotten) Egghead tommorrow and fight to get my VALID rebate.

If you need to call TCA, try 800-390-2344. This is the number I called awhile back for them. TCA uses a New Rochelle, NY address for the rebates they handle.

Guys I checked the TCA website and they say my rebate was approved. I printed the receipt from buy.com, printed the rebate form and pasted teh UPC on that form.

I have sent an e-mail to kingston and will do the same to buy.com about tcareabtes business practices.

I called TCA yesterday about my Egghead Kingston RAM rebate that was denied and after I explained the situation, they approved my rebate - no hassle. However, they said it would take the "normal" 6-8 weeks to process and when I checked the status online today it still shows denied. Guess I will have to follow up again...

Got the email yesterday, and the tcarebates site says it'll be sent by 1/21.

I now send in both the original rebate forms (upc, etc) and a copy of everything, so at least they know I've made a copy for myself, and it'll probably be a hassle if they deny my rebate when I've kept proof that everything was sent in.

Its worked so far!

Same as Lanyap - web site showed denied. Called (1-914-633-0663 from the rebate form), was busy a few times, then waited for a while, then spoke to CSR who approved as soon as I said "buy.com doesn't have physical order forms". She appologized stating that "it's hard to train people to know the difference between regular stores [where copy of order form is not allowed] and web purchase [where printout is all you get]". Check will be sent in March "a little over the 6-12 weeks" [the form says approximately 8 weeks].

Just got a postcard in the mail denying it due to no receipt. I replied with a cut and paste of the online receipt and a letter. I'll call the 1-800 number tomorrow to follow up on it.

Have similar problem in outpost/kingston 128MB valueram rebate. They sent me the followings in denying my rebate:

ORIGINAL REBATE FORM NOT SUBMITTED
PHOTOCOPIES NOT ACCEPTED

The most ridiculous is the rebate form is specific for Outpost.com and provided on the web page. The form stated clearly that "Print this coupon and fill out...". So, if the guy who processed it read the form, he should have known there was no original form and must be a printout.

When you call the toll free 1-800-390-2344 which option do you select to speak with a live person about your rebate status?

I mailed my rebate in on the last day 11/30/00 and haven't received anything via e-mail or snail mail, should I be thankful or concerned?

Oh and I purchased the 256MB PC100 Kingston ValueRAM from Buy.com DOTD.

Yesteday according to Pricewatch.com the cheapest rate for PC133 RAM 256MB was $69.

That's pretty cheap!

I never received anything about denial or approval of the rebate. I checked that TCA website and no info found. Ummmm now what? Thanks.

I called the 1-800 number (posted here earlier) and spoke with a person. When I told her I bought it on-line and didn't have a receipt, she told me to send in the shipping invoice. I told her I couldn't because they already had it :D She said she'd approve it. I called back a couple hours later and was told it was noow approved.

I sent in 2 rebate requests (with my room-mate), identical including a printed buy.com receipt and the buy.com packing slip. I received 2 different email responses for the 2 rebates that had identical information.

The First said I would get the rebate, and it would be sent out it 8 weeks.

The second said that I had improper doco, and that I didnt send the original store receipt, thus would have to resend it in to get the rebate.

I emailed them re: the second rebate, and said that, no, I had actually included the buy.com receipt as well as the packing slip. 'What else do you want?'

2 days later I got an email saying that the second rebate would be sent in 8 weeks.

I guess my the 2 rebates had different people reviewing them, with different standards.....

I would recommend anyone who got a rejection to just email them or call them.

And those who have had no response yet, just wait a little longer....

All four of my kingston RAM rebates (2-Egghead,1-Onvia,1-Outpost) have been approved except for one of the Egghead rebates. I called TCA on the 800 number and spoke to a CSR who immediately approved it. When I check the online status (http://www.tcarebates.com/search.asp) they show the checks will not be mailed until March. I believe the company sponsoring the rebate controls when the rebate gets sent out.

Well, I appear to have gotten a denial reason that none of you have yet: UPC LABEL(BARCODE) NOT ENCLOSED.

That's a load of cr*p, because I stuck the little UPC sticker right to the printed buy.com receipt. Guess I'll have to call and bitch at them, too!

I just got the approved email for the 256mb stick from the buy.com dotd. I sent in the "valueram" label and a printout of my receipt, not the shipping invoice. My info didn't show up on their website either.

Lanyap - Hmmn ok thanks. I must have called either during their peak hours or while they were closed because I was given several pre-recorded options. I'll try calling them again tomorrow.

I wonder if not receiving an acceptance/denial snail mail or e-mail is a good or bad thing? Guess I'll find out eventually.
