I have tried tcarebates for other rebates and have never found my information. I also have never got a rebate that was suppose to be there (it should be here in a few more weeks though) so I can't say if it will come or not.

Just called the CSR regarding my rebate. She stated my rebate was disapproved. She approved it and said my rebate check will be sent out on March 19 2001. Woohoo!

Rossman - I'm in the same boat as you - I received the email that they recieved my information but my information is not showing up on the web site. I called a few weeks ago and they stated that they didn't have any of my rebate information at all and that I should re-send it. Then ane email showed up a day later! Maybe they are swamped - or just unorganized.

TCA is a cheap lying POS rebate vendor. It took me 6 phone calls, a fax and 9 months to get a $30 ACER rebate. They lied about the rebate being sent 5 times. They are scum. Call regularly and give them hell, document everything. I sent in this rebate and got the "Rebate will be sent within 8 weeks" on the Kingston Rebate. We'll see. I've had it with these scum-bags.

We all fill out these rebate forms correctly. All there is to it is a
rebate form , upc symbol and a receipt. These fulfillment companies try everything under the sun to try and cheat us out of our rebate money. These companies have tens of thousands of rebates that they do not send out checks for because ppl dont call them and ask for them . They save money because ppl forget about them and don't bother to follow up on them with a call or a threating letter.
I don't think we should have to put up with this bullcrap and we can stand together and put an end to this rift raft. Please let's start a rebate forum so that we can get the names and numbers of all the cheating companies together. If we get a forum then we can get a real number on the cheating fulfillment companies and threaten them with legal action and contact the Attorney Generals in the states that they do business in.
Every rebate I send to Phoenix Az. to Continental promotions has been denied for crazy made up reasons and I would love to threaten them with a class action lawsuit..

I pretty much share the same sentiments in regards to this issue. First of all, MIR is a professional liar's way to scam the consumers from the get-go. Second of all, why do they always request that you fax them this and fax them that when they should in fact have everything you sent them in the first place. All these steps are deemed to lead the consumers astray so that people get frustrated and people do not press on further.

That is why from now on, I have told myself to stay away from Hot Deals which require MIRs. What is so hot about the deal when there is a 50% chance that you will be denied and a 100% chance that the rebate companies are out to scam you from the very beginning ? Think about it.

It's not a good idea to look for status changes on the tcarebates website. I had my rebate rejected. I sent 3-4 emails back stating why it shouldn't have been, no response. Finally resent in copies of requested info. in by snail mail, no response, no change to status on website. Finally just called the toll free number and was told that my rebate was approved. Moral, just call, that seems to be the only way to get the real story.

I called on the Kingston rebate and had it approved over the phone.
Just about every time I've had a problem with a rebate, a phone
call is all it took to correct it. On the phone, I avoid sounding
angry at the CS rep 'cause I want him/her to help me, but at the
same time, I make it clear that I am being inconvenienced and that
the problem is unacceptable. Works every time... so far. :)

Sent in two rebates relatively close together to TCA, (Buy.com, Bestbuy.com), both were approved without the need to do any extra work.

My experience so far as well. Both the Best Buy and Buy.com show up as approved. I've received all my rebates so far although many have taken additional phone calls - you know the "Oh I see you are in the database (underbreath....rats, another one didn't forget) and your check will be sent out shortly". I'm going to have to watch this one closely from everyone's stories so far.

I never got my last(only) Kingston rebate...they claimed I needed to send the original receipt, UPC Etc. Problem is I DID send them all the original stuff. O well, these rebates are oftem scams... even from large companies like Kingston... :(

(i remember for a fact I sent the originals because I put the UPC sticker right on the receipt!) :|

Via the Internet, I just checked two different Kingston rebates. The website only showed one (thank God at least they have this on the web!!) I emailed them details of the second rebate and the next day they responded and said it was approved, which means I will get the check eventually.

I wish Quantum had this type of system.

http://www.tcarebates.com Is the Kingston site.

I agree with everything that av1998 said. Any progress on a Anandtech rebate forum?
