It is definitely listed on the front page at $299, but they haven't completed setting it up yet. When I click on it "this item is no longer for sale at the Buy.com website" pops up. This has happened before with DOD's right after midnight PST, but this should be a sweet deal. Amazon is selling this camera for $499....

This is a killer deal. With the 3x optical zoom it will be gone very fast. Slow serial connection though. You should use a smartcard reader anyway. Might as well order a second lithium battary as well.

Mine still says 233 left if you just click on the DOD from the main page. If you click buy, and then click on the item once it is in your cart i think the total says 62 now.

The trick is to change the loc=xxx to something else.
I don't really know what that does, but it seems to do the trick.

Definately a nice deal... I ordered one. I'm kind of mad that I ordered that Ricoh RDC-6000 digital camera that they had two weeks ago. Although, it does have some nice features, and takes some descent pictures. I guess I'll just compare it to this Fuji and sell whichever one I decide not to keep.

Can this camera connect via USB? Or only serial? That's one thing that is nice about that Ricoh RDC-6000... the USB connection is nice and fast for transferring pictures to the computer.

BTW.. only about 20 left right now. Man, they sold about 30 as I was typing this message. It's going fast.
