Usually yes, unless the mall has a weird rule not allowing walkie talkies. It's a great way to keep in touch.

Please note that these are single channel radios. To change to another of the 14 channels offered you must flip a internel dip switch. That truely sucks. I would avoid these.

but at least you can select the channels via a switch on the
side of the radio) this week for $29.99; or a 14 channel version
with LCD display and easy channel changing for $49.99.
