Candy corn is the only candy in the history of America that's never been advertised. And there's a reason. All of the candy corn that was ever made was made in 1911. And so, since nobody eats that stuff, every year there's a ton of it left over. And the candy corn company sends the guys out into the villages, to collect out of the dumpsters all the candy corn we've thrown away. They wash it! They wash it! I'll never forget the first time my mother gave me candy corn. She said, 'Here Lewis! This is corn that tastes like candy!' (takes it, eats it) ... 'This tastes like crap!' And every year since then, Halloween is returned and I, like an Alzheimer's patient, find myself in a room, and the room has a table in it, and on the table, is a bowl of candy corn. And I look at it, as if I've never seen it before. 'Candy corn,' I think. 'Corn that tastes like candy. I can't wait.' (takes it, takes a bite) 'SON OF A BITCH!' -lewis black
 
LOL, my thoughts exactly, I always forget why I don't eat candy corn. I try it year after year... magically expecting it to taste good. Must be something about the bright colors.

Maybe it's time to stock up early for Halloween and maybe win a shopping spree while I'm at it.

Yum... Candy Corn is great. 🙂

Jack-o-Lantern Jumble

1/3 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
8 cups Crispix Cereal
3/4 cup mixed nuts

Bake at 250 degrees F for 45 minutes, Stirring frequently.

After cooling add 1 cup candy corn and 1 cup Reese's Pieces.


Pay Day Snack

This tastes like a Pay-Day candy bar!

1 bag high-quality candy corn
1 can salted peanuts

Mix together and store in a plastic container with a tight-fitting lid.


Popcorn Goblin Gorp

2 1/2 quarts popped corn (1/2 cup unpopped kernels)
2 cups mini size pretzels
2 cups raisins
1 cup salted peanuts
1 cup plain M & M?s
1 cup candy corn
1/2 cup sunflower meats
1 cup pecans or walnuts

In large bowl, combine all ingredients; toss gently.



 
went to targer...nothing around the candy corn...I paid for it like normal, asked 3 ppl at checkout lines (including a manager, and her boss) no one knew anything about this...but I bought the candy korn anyway 🙂
