I read about this deal on FW and went to the Gamestop across the street from my office to confirm.

I saw the sign with my own 2 eyes and like I said earlier:

This could get even better if the accessory can be the DVD kit that's free after rebate. I didn't test that theory since I needed the high definition pack anyway. I picked up Halo and Buffy as my two games.
 
Have you guys made sure the the DVD kit rebate is good with the new bundle. This rebate applies to a certain item number/ sku... it may not be good with this bundle.
 
Can anyone confirm that DVD rebate works for the Xbox bundle? Also does anyone know if you can replace a game with the Xbox live package, since it does come with a game 😀 That would make this deal smoking hot
 
Best Buy has pretty much the same thing except it's only a $30 rebate. And, AFAIK it's only for Gamecube stuff. Didn't look in the PS2/Xbox section.

- Gamecube Hardware (I believe that means the console)
- 2 games over $29.99
- 1 gamecube controller
- 1 gamecube memory card

The $30 mail in rebate will be printed off at the counter. I asked a sales person and he said it was if you buy 2 games over $29.99. I hardly think that's the case though.
 
I finally found a GS that honor the promotion in Chula Vista, CA...

the DVD rebate will NOT work, specific UPC # from MS... when I called GS, one of the sales say it will apply, but when I arrived, it seems to me they didnt know about the UPC. I didnt take the gamble and got an extra controller instead.

anyone who wants the rebate scan or will host for everybody, please email or PM me.

I'm a Counter Strike maniac, didnt like Halo though... my 2 cents...

 
Here is a pic of the rebate form with the Sega XBOX clearly shown on the form. I'm not 100% sure that the DVD rebate will work but the manager at the store said it would. He read an e mail to me that seemed to state that it would.LINK
 
btw, why is everyone getting the S controller ? I like the regular better and I dont have big hands...

for one of my S controllers, the buttons are not so responsive, anyone else with that problem ? mine was Made In China, the other one which seems to be better was Made In Malaysia.... more 2 cents

 
I can't play with mine until Christmas. OH WAIT, It's really not mine, it's for my son for Christmas. The older he gets the more I look forward to Christmas morning!
