Which card would be better/last longer for my overclocked BX board? I am running an ASUS P3B-F mobo at 931(fsb133/pci33/agp89). I can't adjust the agp below 2/3. I am currently using a CL TNT2 Ultra and I have the side band address mode disabled but I am afraid I will fry it at this speed. i found a good price on the Elsa GeForce X2 with ddram at Onvia for $135 shipped or an eVga mx 2 for $106 shipped from MXIPC.com.

Go search pricewatch for a GEForce2 GTS card, you can pick one up for about $170 shipping included or so, and you'll be much happier with your performance. If you want to spend a little more for a nice overclockable GTS card, try here for the Leadtek Winfast 32meg card. It will run you $193 + free shipping.

geez. you can gets geforce 2 gts oem's for like $150 on the forsale/trade board. Old DDR's are like 120 shipped, they are truly faster than geforce2MX's btw.

Prolly best to spend extra $50 on a geforce 2 gts, thats like dinner..

You could always do what I`m doing, buy a Geforce2 MX & the money you save put towards a NV20 when they come out.

Wait 3 months for the NV20. It's supposevely 2-7 times faster than a GeForce 2 Ultra!!! Now that's just insane.

Certainly an MX, the reatil Hercules MX looks like a nice one. The Geforce 2 cards are too expensive at the moment. Get an MX, then wait until the NV20 is out and get a Geforce 2 then !

Just purchased a Hercules 3D Prophet MX. Running at 210/210 rock stable. My 3DMark2K score is 5567. Best I could do on my old TNT2-Ultra was 3756. It only has the factory heat sink on it but I do have a small fan keeping air moving to some extent around it. Comp-USA has piles of them for $150.00.

I just returned My Herc. MX for a Herc. 64mb GTS.

Mainly because of Linux support. I have a 64mb Prophet2 in my main system, but had problems w/ Linux on my second system w/ a Herc.Mx card.

I figure the 2 Herc. 64mb GTS cards should last me about 1.5 yrs.. I have them in a P3-933 & P3-800 both w/ 256mb sdram & all scsi.
