Buy 3000+ venice here? (warranty)

I was orginally going to get the 3000+ Venice here:
http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=A64-3000BP

But if you click warranty, it says that it is 7 days for refund/replacement, but further down it says up till 6 months for "repair"... look and see what I mean...

Is that reliable, or should I just spend the extra 26 and get a retail one from newegg or somewhere else to be safe? Because this is damn cheap...

Also, what RAM is good with this and an EPOX mobo? I was going to go with Corsair VS unless you can tell me otherwise for light OCing...

1. I don't trust eWiz, and neither should you. http://www.resellerratings.com
2. Crucial Value is nice for overclocking, and at great prices. Last I checked it was $105/GB. Probably around $50 for a 512mb stick. Get two of those and you'll be on your way.

6 month rating = 9

What exactly is wrong with that rating? 😕

I remember it being around 4.7 last time I checked...which was a few weeks ago. Must've missed something.

Anyhow...I would advise Newegg, because their support is bar-none.

i got a venice from them a couple weeks ago, free shipping, unfortuantely ground so it took a full week to get to me, but came in good condition and they update you with tracking and all quickly. i wouldn't hesitate to shop them again.

Agreed. I bought a 3000+ and a Seasonic S12-600 from them this past Sunday, and it arrived today without any problems.

Lifetime rating is 7.84 (somewhat low) but their 6-month rating is a 9. Looks like they are improving their service.

It looks like you can get a refund up until 7 days after you order, but you can still get the CPU replaced 6 months late. I'd print out a copy of that page to proove they had it in writing just in case it comes to that.

i got one of these CPUs from eWiz... took a while to deliver, but that's the fault of UPS, as eWiz shipped it out the next business day.

apparently ppl have overclocked it to about 2.7 on air, which for $115 - $118 (w/ free shipping) is a very hard bargain to beat.
