we got plenty of butter here in Denmark, maybe they should try bringing some home instead of just drinking beer and puking all over the place when they come over...

I'm fairly certain this is exactly how the first world war started. A shortage of butter led to the only logical outcome - the assassination of the heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne.

This is going to get ugly.

did you know you don't have to store your butter in the fridge? You can keep it in the cupboard and it'll be fine, just keep it covered.

Hmm... Butter bootlegging. A little unorthodox, but that's a business I can get behind. I wish I lived a bit closer to Norway. Hell, I'd like to live closer to there regardless of potential business.

No butter in Norway?

Uh oh. This is a sign of the impending dragon invasion and The End of Life As We Know It™.

Get your swords ready, Norwegians.

That's what I do for my in-use butter. It stays softer, and is easier to use. Of course it's 49f in my house right now, so it's still kind of firm :^D

I was going to say "Repost!" from 1999 but...
this is a different take on the subject. :p

You know it has to be bad when there is money to be made smuggling it in to sell on the street!

Yup, that's how the conflict started and . . . spread.

Someone found an heir in their butter, accusations and insults were throne, and soon the entire continent was toast.

So who would be the 21st century equivalent to Archduke Ferdinand? Is it Justin Bieber? Please say it's Justin Bieber.

Room temperature butter is a long standing requirement in my household. When people come over and "help" with kitchen cleanup, I invariably find my butter in the butter tray in the fridge at the worst time ever...when I need to butter my toast.
