I've decided on getting a new 19" crt but i dont know which one to choose from. So far i've got 3 in mind and they are:

Samsung 955DF-T/T
http://www.samsung.com/Products/Monitor/CRT_Flat/AN19JSBLQ.asp

Samsung 997DF-T/T
http://www.samsung.com/Products/Monitor/CRT_Flat/LE19ISBBQ.asp

Viewsonic A90f+

If you could help me in my decision that would be awesome! Any advice given would be appreciated. I also play a lot of PC games if that helps.

There was a thread here a while ago on the 955DF. Some people were having problems with theirs. I think the 997DF is a newer model and people used to recommend it at least a few months ago.

Problem is, it's next to impossible to find either of these anymore. :(

i have no idea what dot pitch means... but the a90f+ has a 0.21mm horizontal dot pitch and the 997 has a 0.20mm horizontal dot pitch. what does that mean and does it matter?

dot pitch basicly is how close the pixels are to eachother. the lower the dot pitch the sharper the image and the higher the maximum resolution it can achive.

i went from a 17"0.25 dot pitch old monitor to the samsung 997MB(no difference with the DF) 19" 0.20 dot picth and i couldnt belive my eyes how sharp ut2004 had gotten (i actually saw things i never did before). very definatly noticable. also the maximum resolution of the samsung's 1920 x 1440 i belive (go check 21" monitors, some only can go as far aswell). so the lower the better.

ok so far ive thrown out the 995 and im stuck with the 997 and a90f+. i know the a90f+ has UltraBrite technology but im not sure if the 997 has anything to match it. i know the image is fantastic on the 997 (according to TSS ^_^) but im just not sure if the brightness is good for internet/PC games. this will help with my final decision!!!!1
