I started thinking about all of the crap jobs that have been passed onto me at work, and realized there's only really one thing that would make me give them a zero day notice:

being forced to clean up somebody elses puke or poop and I'd walk out the door.

How about you? What would it take for you to walk out of your job?

That was the tune of my post. I was hoping the emoticons would work in a title, but alas, they don't.

bmacd, heh perfect topic for my new site unusedtalent.com. Is a better job offer really worth leaving? I mean if you were to get paid $2k more a year for example would you leave the people you know and start at the bottom at a new place?

I'd rather start over at the bottom. I'm an engineer with a masters degree, and I don't want to be promoted. I don't even want as much responsibility as I have now. Oh, and I have an engineering degree, yet I've done approx. 1.5 days worth of engineering in the past year and a half.

Who cares if you start over at the bottom if you are making the salary that you want and you are happy?

When I was in high school I worked at the taco bell. They wanted me to wear one of those taco suits to pass out coupons. I told them that if they made me do that I would quit. They never bothered me with that again. I would have been ok with it if the costume wasn't designed where people could see you face.
