EBay spokesman Kevin Pursglove said Wednesday that the online auction site was committed to protecting its users from fraudulent transactions and had implemented a series of checks -- such as requiring users to provide credit card numbers -- to ensure people stand behind their deals.

eGay cares about nothing except getting their commission fees for all the stuff people sell on there. They've never done anything to help me or anyone else I know who had problems with a deadbeat buyer or seller. You've gotta look out for yourself, because their alleged "security" is a joke.
