That is not what Wheezer said nor is it what was implied in Wheezer's original post. At the time of the Revolution slavery was neither exclusive to this country nor is it what the country was founded upon.

I don't get it. Doesn't he need some sort of Visa or green card to get into the country? What if they hadn't found the greeting card? Would they have just let him waltz in and set up shop? I understand that the guy broke down and admitted to everything, but had he played hard ball, is that card and the recipes sufficient evidence to deport someone, provided they had the proper paperwork for a short stay?

Relax, you're not paying for them. You are paying to subsidize the labor costs of those who hire them. You pay more so those employers can pay less. Start throwing employers in jail and applying sufficient fines and the problem will quickly be solved. Absent that, nothing will change.
