Can't you get extra money per hour if starting difficult IV's is added to your job role? At our facility,whatever supervisor is covering the house gets to start/restart difficult cases.

The viewer probably does have it's place, but you can't beat the old fashioned way: by feel. I have seen a few ER nurses that can't start an IV if they can't "see" it. Not a good way to improve your skills....

I like the moniker "Reliable Pliable"...... 🙂

yup. look at it this way, you'll get more work but now you are viewed as an expert among your peers. a big + IMO.
