In Houston, BB had the Buslink CD-RW 12x10x40 on a non-advertise sale for $19.87, the Galleria store had 7 after I purchased one - check it out.

They may have several more or it was just to get rid of inventory.

Good Luck.

Actually, here in New York, they had the 16x10x40X Buslink(liteon) drives for the same price. None were left as of Friday morning in the NYC aread except for 1 in L.I.C which happened to have been returned and I boiught it as new. I didn't care. Turns out the person just wanted a faster one and had bought it when it was more $$$. I scored.

most 24x writers start out at 16x anyway, depending on the method of writing they use (zone clv, cav)
nice site for cdrw info is cdrlabs.com
cdrfaq, cdrinfo.com, cdrfreaks also good for same
really surprised to hear bb still has these, think mine is sold out
but good deal, some of the buslink/lite-on have martburn, others have burnproof

12x usually burns 700mb in about 7:30... your 24x will probably do the job in about 4:30. of course these are just averages from a 12x and a 24x i've had in the past.
