just as the title says, do you guys know of any business opportunities in Europe that aren't too difficult to do for an American? before i get the wisecrack answers like, "they're are always biz oppurtunities everywhere", i'm looking for specific examples. some constraints:

- can't be too expensive to start (maybe $10K at most)
- something that can't be done easily by a local citizen in a European country (maybe import/export of some products)

i'm asking because i'll be taking a vacation to Europe later this year and will be keeping an eye out for business opportunities. just wondering if any of you have any experience with this. if so, any ideas are appreciated!

cliffs:
- going to Europe for vacation (not sure where exactly but flexible)
- also will be looking for business opportunities
- any ideas what those might be?
- thanks!

I don't know of any non-internet business that you can realistically start for under $10,000. Maybe if you set up a booth and sold things, but if you're going to have a *store*, I'd imagine that you will need way more capital.

That bolded part gives me the impression that you consider Europe to be some third-world country. I find it hard it unlikely that you can find some cheap business venture that is not able to be done by some sort of local population.

Also there are those pesky law things regarding to moving and setting up shop. Sure you can do a tourist visa, then leave and return as needed but you just can't straight up move there with the intention of starting a business.

Have you even been to Europe previously?

Your avatar suggests you are Asian and I hear they like Asian butt in Amsterdam. All you gotta do is walk around in short shorts and wiggle your ass at the Frenchies who are visiting.

Actually there's not a single job in Europe that isn't sexually related. They import almost all of their stuff from across the world so they have no jobs other than prostitution and variances of.

Having calloused lips would be a big plus so they don't start bleeding at the end of the night.

You are going nowhere with your stupid idea. Why don't you try growing up first?

thanks Babbles. to answer your question, i've never been to any country in Europe.

i'm not necessarily going to move there and set up shop. maybe i can export something from the US to Europe and have a counterpart take care of selling it. obviously i'm not looking for anything where there are too many competitors unless the profit margins are really high.

i don't know all the details but i'll give you an example: i knew a guy who bought a Mazda 3 here in the US. the car was either for sale as is or sold as salvage. anyway, he got it really cheap and apparently cheaper than what they could have gotten in Europe. he sent it via ship to Poland where one of his friends fixed it up and sold it there. for whatever reason, he was able to find it cheap here and knew that, in good condition, it would sell for a higher price in Poland than here in the US. again, don't know all the details but there was some kind of arbitrage that he saw and took advantage of... certain economic factors allowed him to profit more by selling it overseas. i'm looking for unique cases like this. i appreciate your insight and help!

is cocaine legal there? even if it is, it's not legal here. so, i forgot to include another constraint:

-product or service must be legal here in the US and also in the respective European country. thanks for your input.

The first step is to visit...

You can't see opportunities for arbitrage if you don't know what exists!

You could open a shop that sells balls so that all the emasculated euro trash men could buy a pair.
