For whatever reason, my boss thinks that I should leave the sunny South and take a trip to the North in the middle of February. So I'm heading to the Albany/Schenectady area in New York. What do you Yanks do in the winter other than shovel snow?
I could follow standard business protocol and find the nearest bar and drink my per diem away, but I'd like to do something different this trip. I'd like to see the area.
Any good places to eat or things to do that represent the area? Anyone know of a local ski place? It's been forever since I've skiied and I wouldn't mind trying it again.
Also, do you Yanks get offended by southerners saying "y'all" and complaining about the cold or is it expected?
