Reality is accepting the fact that people have died in the past for this country, are doing so today, and hopefully will continue to do so in the future. When people stop having that will, that's the day this country really dies.

You disgust me.

Missed the second sentence, eh?

Hint: My post was about the "will" to do so.

But it's no surprise you missed it or even purposefully overlooked it in a headlong rush to condemn me erroneously. Good job.

The second sentance is irrevalent. The will to do so? You didn't imply that at all.

You're not advocating a willingness to die for the good of this country, you're advocating giving our actions no thought whatsoever.

I don't know what else to do, you call me a liberal, then come back with what is essentially 'did not not not!!'. You're delusional, and, having no more than a passing interest in psychology, I'm unable to help you or even converse further with you. Thus, we're done.

It appears you are the one confused that I care about no WMDs being found. I could not care less about WMDs being a valid reason for being in Iraq.

World opinion? LOL. As if the French, Germans, Russians, or anyone else cares what the world thinks about them.

No. Your assuming YOUR thought is the right thought. There are many thoughts on the subject and you seem to discard all others but yours.

Most people would scratch their heads and think, 'Gee, if 95% of the world hates us, maybe they're onto something?'. Others, of course, seem to take pleasure in pissing people off...

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black... what do you think you did when you chastised people for not being willing to die for a cause YOU (and very few others) approve of?

Where did I do that? I merely said there ARE people willing to die for this country. I didn't say YOU had to do so. If you don't want to and don't support the cause, fine. However, don't expect everyone to feel the same way as you, or assume they are wrong because you seem to believe your opinion is the only one that matters.

How do you reason with someone who has no problems with our government knowingly lying to us to garner support for a war? TLC has clearly fallen for the Republican propoganda.

Regardless of whether or not you believe us being in Iraq is the right thing to do, you have to admit that things are not looking good over there. We are stuck in a position where once we leave, there will most likely be a civil war. Therefore, we are stuck in a quagmire with pretty much no way out as far as most people can see.

Nobody has ever proven that the government lied, which means purposeful and intentionally being misleading, not just being wrong. But that little fact about what a lie is doesn't seem to sink in to some people.

Are things looking "good" over in Iraq? Not if one only focuses on the killings, as so many in here seem to do. They seem t have this false expectation that everything should be great and perfect. If you actually look outside the small room the left has built and painted themselves into though, there is hope for a decent future.

It seems most people are complacent and absend minded meaning they want someone else to do the thinking for them and not have to use 1 percent of their brains at all in politics. People need someone to lead them and they are completely at loss if they are not controlled. Most of us wouldn't have a clue if it is right or wrong to attack another nation that has done nothing to us because the media are all make belief, there is not an ounce of truth in it.

*incredulous stare*

How about this. If you can find *3* reasonable people to read our little transcript and come to the same misguided conclusion that I, in fact, "called you a liberal" (not that there's anything wrong with that, ;) ) as opposed to talking about past losing presidential candidates, I'll freely admit that my ability in expressing my thoughts is obviously lacking, as I had no intention of assuming or identifying any political persuasion in you.

There's no shame in admitting you're wrong, you realize. Especially in here. Anonymously. I've done it many times and am willing to do it as many more as it takes. I suggest, that if you wish to participate in this forum in any manner than might be construed as rational and dignified, you practice such self-reflection and admittance as situations permit. It can only help.

Ever been down south? That imbreeding really does have an effect on people's brains. Bush is the PERFECT leader for those imbred hillbillies.

Ever seen the average IQ by state. The last dozen are all red states, the top 4 or 5 are all blue.

Not saying all repubs are dumb, just saying that party gets to live with the fact that it ownes all the hillbillies and Christian zealots for itself. So with that Bush not being the smartest ape in the primate house doesn't bother them
