Unless a HUGE conflict breaks out (IE something catastrophic to the US, and most likely worse then the 9/11 attacks), the chances are slim to none. And slim just left town.
 
One school of thought has Bush becoming very centrist.

He has nothing to lose now.

How about that for logic? It actually makes some sense if you think about it deeply.
 
I am guessing the promise to cut deficit in half is DOA.
It would be refreshing to see spending cuts, but I don't think the GOP has the stomach for it.

But, another way to look at that is, since he has gotten his way for the most part in the past 4 years,
there is nothing to lose by continuing to push the same agenda that carried his administration this far.

Well, they havent had the stomach for it yet...note the deficit. I think tax increases are due...likely not for top earners though.
