Looks like a troll post with the usual lefties clapping.

Lock this one up.

Yep; no mistakes, but we have the usual tripe:

President Shat-fer-Brains had the opportunity to exercise his veto pen with the criminally corrupt Republican Congress and chose not to do so.
.

Thank you for your not-so-clever wit and fallacy. Feel free to continue to do so. Your continued excuses and defense of The Worst President Ever will lead to substantial loses in the 2008 Congressional elections.

That's a tricky one. The facts of the case are very unusual. My heart says pardon them, but my head understands there is more to this story than what was told. And the prez duty is to uphold the constitution and that where his (unpopular) decision came from.

Probably because a calling them "mistakes" would mean
  • He and his admin didn't intend to murder 3,902 American troops for their lies (as of 12/30/07 6:43 pm EDT).
    rose.gif

  • They didn't intend to shred the Constitution with warrantless domestic spying on American citizens, violate U.S. and international laws and treaties against the use of torture.
  • We would already have gotten rid of Al Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan and probably captured Bin Laden.
  • We would have the military manpower available to deal with REAL threats from REAL enemies.
  • They didn't intend to squander trillions of dollars of the nation's wealth and future and leave us with debts our great great grandchildren will still be paying off, money that could otherwise have paid for infrastructure, education, medical care and... oh, yeah... a functional, fully staffed and equipped military.
Those weren't "mistakes." Those were just some of their intentionally planned and executed crimes against each and every citizen of the United States of America and against the entire civilized world. :|

This entire administration needs some quality time at the beautiful downtown Guantanamo Hilton with free daily passes on the exciting waterboard ride.

They told us it isn't torture so we can believe them, right? :p

If I were a betting man, I'd take you up on that.

Let me just say that I hope you like disappointment.

Ugh, do we really need to do this? Your successes are listed as things like fighting the dems who "hurt the troops". That's a completely stupid statement, and it's not a success as nobody was trying to do that. What you consider continual good decisions regarding the war, plenty of other people consider continual mistakes regarding the war, myself included.

He spent most of the year pushing for legal immunity for telecom companies who were a party to hundreds if not thousands of felonies related to warrantless wiretapping. That's not just a mistake, that's a Constitution shredding mistake. He vetoed healthcare for children that 70% of the country supported, that's a mistake. He continues to allow Afghanistan to deteriorate, that's a mistake. He continues to operate Guantanamo, and continues to put forth absurd legal arguments in order to deny people basic human rights, those are mistakes too.

You probably love most of the things I mentioned, but it doesn't make them not mistakes. I was just reluctant to mention them because I'm sure it will ignite a whole load of stupid flailing by the authoritarians on here that I'm really not interested in participating in.

Regardless, there's about half a dozen mistakes for you.

Well you're right. I view those as all the correct decisions.

Vetoing the healthcare one as being one of the biggest successes. I believe in the Constitution and all of those decisions were correct regarding the Constitution.

Well, the vast majority of the legal community (Oh and that Supreme Court thing we have) seem to disagree with his interpretation of the constitution in regards to warrantless wiretapping and the situation in Guantanamo. In fact, the Supreme Court has ruled against him several times. Sounds pretty mistake-y to me.

This reminds me of all the predictions of Republican victory in the 2006 elections. We should all remember this come November.

Yes and no. I think they should be pardoned for the shooting. Covering it up, no. At least it would drastically reduce their prison time.

Well one mistake to list---an added 3.2 trillion in US debt. In other words, we have added more than half again the debt it took over 200 years to amass in six short years.

In terms of GWB during the Republican rubber stamp era, not one GWB veto of pork spending.

Now that the dems have in fact reduced pork, ole Spidey comes up with the revisionist history that GWB is a fiscal conservative. The only question is who is more stupid, GWB&co and his bunch of morally bankrupt incompetent idiots or Spidey07 who enjoys being robbed and having a greatly diminished country.

I could go on and on and on with GWB&co. blunders, but they will fall on deaf ears with PAbster, Spidey, TLC, PJ, and others. But the fact is that the American people will spend decades paying for the mistakes of GWB if they can be corrected at all.

Like an earlier poster said, for a short and manageable list, list the very very few things GWB has done RIGHT.

-edit-

And in terms of the Spidey contention no mistakes are listed, that no longer flies. Mistakes have been listed and its up to spidey to rebut them.

Some how I like the Pabster response better---hope the mods lock the thread so it will go away.
Because there is not a rational person on earth that can defend that bunch of idiots who have done an incredible amount of lasting damage and are now edging out Hoover and Harding as the worst President in US history.

Yep, because locked threads disappear.

It should be locked because 1) OP failed to follow posting rules and 2) It's a pure troll thread, as evidenced by yourself.

The only real trolling in this thread is done by you!

LOL!

You can't be serious.

You as well cannot list a mistake. What's even more enlightening is people well versed and educated have listed mistakes by the president. Admitted they were mistakes and acknowledged them.

Name specific examples, not BDS crap.

1) Tax Cuts = saving a struggling economy
2) Acting Commander = Defending the country
3) I'm sorry you're poor. You have more than enough social programs to help you. Hopefully Bush will end those as well. Darwinism for the win. Constitution for the win.

Way less than a year until 11/4/2008 and so many of GWB's chickens may come home to roost before then. As someone who does look at the odds, I just relish the results and fully expect Pabster and his ilk to be very very very disappointed with the results come 11/5/2008.

For a President who is setting new world records for being in the basement in public opinion, the Republirats have LESS THAN A YEAR TO DELIVER THE RESULTS THEY PROMISED.

And given the fact that bad public policy delivers never delivers success, dreaming of results given the failures of the past seven years will take far more than a miracle from GOD almighty. Somehow Pat Robertson is a poor substitute.

Wow, you are really lost when it comes to reality.

Bush approval ratings > congress. By a large margin. This is what I don't understand about the moonbats. The cognitive dissonance that reality presents them.

Self delude yourself till the cows come home Spidey, the cows do come home 11/4/2008.

Then you can trade your tin foil hat for a paper bag without eyeholes.

Until then its a pissing contest that the republicans must deliver results to win.

What, Lemon, Election '08 got your panties in a wad again?

In a year where Democrats should walk away with the trophy, no questions asked, it's going to be tooth and nail to the very end. And they are likely to lose the horse race. Again.

All the spin and propaganda you can spew won't make those dismal approval ratings look any better.

Doesn't really matter to me. The tax cuts are what I applaud.

Sorry if you can't take advantage. There's nothing stopping you from crawling out of your miserable life but you. So stop blaming others (ie, BDS) for your failures.

Thankfully the young don't vote. They can spew their liberal heads out on a message board. but THANK GOD they don't vote.
