Nearly every response to this thread, regardless of which end of the political spectrum it comes from, illustrates the lack of political understanding of the posters.

This Bush is, whatever you may think of his other traits, a master politician. He is about as commited to this "amnesty" as he is to outlawing left-handedness. His proposal was simply a trial balloon floating primarily to scour points with Fox (who is currently on an official state visit to Washington). If the furor thanks the pressure off of the mess Bush has made of the budget, and if it makes him look less heartless to our allies overseas, so much the better in his eyes. This is the very reason so many other Repub politicians are speaking out now. When he sees the furor it creates, Bush's flunkies will explain and qualify this "amnesty" into meaningless tirpe. Nothing will actually be done. This is all part of the sound and fury that is a large part of traditional Washington politics.

OTOH, Texmaster cut back, just a little, on the caffeine. You won't be so cranky.

Offtopic, I have a sister who lives in New Mexico who has been told, on more than one occassion when ordering stuff over the phone, that "we only ship to the United States." I kid you not.

Ah the humble poster. LOL This outta be good.

<< This Bush is, whatever you may think of his other traits, a master politician. He is about as commited to this "amnesty" as he is to outlawing left-handedness. >>

Then why was he for TOTAL amnesty before and now says there will be condiditons? Its because he got a huge backlash from republicans he wasn't counting on.

So you think its a conspiracy to make himself look better to the Europeans? LOL If it is, show us the evidence that its working.

Actually I'm not cranky at all my little friend. I'm quite content posting facts over conjecture. But I'm glad you don't have that problem.

Texmaster: My comment about the caffeine was a polite attempt at humor to try and get you to lighten up a little on the belittlings and unprovoked attacks that you seem to shoot out with the slightess provocation. Obviously it sailed right over you.

As your so-called "little friend" comment, I am in fact neither little nor personally acquainted with you and hardly your friend. Far too often your postings contain gratuitous personal attacks on anyone that may possibly disagree with you-which is hardly intelligent discourse or persuasive argument of ANY sort.

I said nothing about any conspiracy. I merely pointed out this was an obvious trial balloon, a tried and true Washingtonian tactic being practiced by a master Beltway politician.

LOL Try reading. I didn't attack anyone personally. I gave the facts with my opinion supported by those facts. Some took it as an opportunity to slam Bush without merit or proof. I called them on it. Try reading more carefully.

<< As your so-called "little friend" comment, I am in fact neither little nor personally acquainted with you and hardly your friend. >>

LOL Wow that really got to you huh

<< Far too often your postings contain gratuitous personal attacks on anyone that may possibly disagree with you-which is hardly intelligent discourse or persuasive argument of ANY sort. >>

Thats right. And thats why you are so busy providng the proof I asked for that it was a ploy to by Bush to get The Europeans off his back.

You are just mad because I called you on your own opionion supported by zero evidence. How sad.

<< I said nothing about any conspiracy. I merely pointed out this was an obvious trial balloon, a tried and true Washingtonian tactic being practiced by a master Beltway politician. >>

And no proof that not only it was the intension, but no proof to the effect you claim either.

I deal in facts.

#1 Bush said he was in favor of Granting Full amnesty without condiditons.
#2 Bush backed off this postion when Republicans began to question why he even made this promise in the first place
#3 Fox only asked for a timetable after Bush said there would be "condiditons"

There is nothing here to support your wild hypothesis. Of course if you are finished ranting and justifiying a doomed postition, provide some facts that indeed the effect you believe Bush had implied is working on the Europeans.

You have let one post go by, don't waste another.

At times, George W. Bush can act and speak like an ass. Too bad his political opponents are even worse.

Now see this Thump553? This is an example of a troll. Someone who just posts because they hate Bush, doesn't address the subject, and provides no evidence to back up their claim.

If you look at the people you do vehimently defended that I was attacking, they did the same thing. I did not attack those who actually adressed the subject and provided their view

This situation seems to be his (GW Du8mbsh!t's) advisors nightmare.. Bush commenting without clearing his comments with them first. Of course the King Right Wing Troll Texmaster uses this situation to try and distance himself froim his fellow fool and Texan, GW Bush, but it's all a ruse. LOL

I have news for you Trollmaster, nobody cares what you think . You need evidence of that? Just ask, you'll see that only other Red asses like you would agree with you.

I agree with red dawn. I also think its time we take away your quote button so you cant make your beautiful lists of crap that no one cares about. If you really came in here to talk about the issue then do so, dont start your childish games. My opinion: allowing immigrants amnesty is a huge can of worms. Find work in your own country, dont come here steal american jobs. Secondly if you do come, which since bush the right-wing puppet (please quote this texmaster Id love to see it in one of your grand lists) is in charge, is probably going to happen; learn to speak english for petes sake.

Bush makes a large number of mistakes when he speaks.

Often times, people who don't function very well in the use of their own native language prove, at the same time, not to be very intelligent.

There is a rap out on Bush that he's a moron.

Bush: No.
Fox: What do you mean, no?
Bush: No.
Fox: *storms out
Bush: Don't slam the door.

Bush: ...You got any weed? (to no one in particular)

;)

Vicente Fox, presidente Mexico was in Miami last Friday. He was attending the 'Conference of the Americas' sponsered by the Miami Herad. There were demonstrators outside the Biltmore Hotel from five different countries of the Caribbean and Central America. They were trying to be heard that their countrymen should also be considered if the amnesty ever took place. There was also the Sound of One Hand Clapping. There were no Cubans in attendance of the demonstrations. Cubans have the sweetest deal in the world when it comes to immigration. They can apply for citizenship one year after arrival instead of five. There should be no talk of any amnesty for the illegal immigres until the Cuba Adjustment Act is repealed.
