Of course his approval ratings are going up, he's been hiding from the public for years.

Exactly. I've found my dislike for him decreasing as he's kept his mouth shut over the years. The only times he's spoken is when he's gotten together with someone to push a cause of some type. He's stayed pretty much completely out of politics. Dick Cheney on the other hand keeps talking and it's still quite easy to completely despise that turd.
