Gee, convex, just when I thought you were brain dead, you show evidence of life. :p

Gore sounds like Einstein compared to Bush.

NFS4:

The guy's brain is obviously totally fried. He sounds like a coke head to me. Matter of fact, some ecstacy freaks make more sense than that.

He is a total embarrassment. Can you imagine him negotiating with Putin, or some other foreign leader. Sheesh! He'd probably give Texas to the Chinese. Uh, er, um, well, now there's an idea! :p

<< He'd probably give Texas to the Chinese. >>

I think that Gore and Clinton already sold it along with all of our national secrets.

What a load of Bush-wit! :)

Tripleshot -- <<Can you see him negotiating foreign policy?>>

Sure. Intelligence is already foreign to him. :p

Yeah there's something "off" with Shrub. These verbal slip ups are just too common for a public speaker. Sure Albert makes them too but not as frequently. So is Bore simply a better public speaker than Shrub? Academically Shrub comes out on top vs. Big Al. As for the written word, I'm not sure who does better here because you don't always know the true author of political text.

I doubt this disqualifies Shrub. But it is funny and disconcerting. :)

If elected, Shrub could single-handedly restore power and glory to Saturday Night Live. They wouldn't even need a good comedian to play Bush -- the material sells itself!

I read these and I understand why Alec Baldwin will leave if Bush is elected president. Hell, I might leave too.

This seriously makes me wonder about his academic record also. I have never been impressed with "Bush" linguistics, but I can't help but think that he may have gotten through some of his college years by utilizing his name, rather than his mind.

It does say alot for George Bush SR., I mean think about it? Why did he choose Quayle? Maybe he wanted somebody who made his son look good...

Perhaps the new motto for the Bush campaign should be 'Stupid is as Stupid does sir!'

<< Well, I think if you say you're going to do something and don't do it, that's trustworthiness."-- >>

I'll talk to that with my boss some time. Chances are it will be the last time I'll talk to him. :p

If Dubya made those statements during simple everyday talk with friends, it *might* be excusable. But he made those statements during speeches, interviews and other public events.

<< Texas Gov. George W. Bush declared this past week that Vice President Al Gore would create ``over 200,000 new or expanded federal programs.'' >>

He meant 200.

This doesn't seem like a slip of the tounge. It's very hard to confuse the phrase "two hundred" for "two hundred thousand". It should make you wonder about other "facts/issues" the right-wing is arguing about.

Another article detaling Dubya's control of language:

Red,

<< Why oh why didn't they nominate McCain. >>

That's easy: 'cause they couldn't buy him. Bush had the most expensive campaign in history ($100 mill). Big business doesn't spend that kind of money unless they're getting something *huge* in return. McCain is mostly a man of principle IMO, so they wouldn't let him be the main candidate. Basically the Republican party was REQUIRING of all its incumbents and new candidates that they sign a form pledging their support to GBW -- this DURING the primaries, when McCain was still strongly in the running -- and if they did NOT sign the endorsement, the money for their various races would be withheld.

Shrub comes out on top academically cuz he had his daddy to get him into those colleges. He was a B/C student throughout high school and college and those were generously graded I would bet.

"Subliminibadble" says it all...how many times has he said that? Three? Four? Think of all the other -able words out there he has probably used! Or, maybe he tries to stay away from the hard ones...

;)

At least I would be able to respect McCain if he became president! With Bush, I'd feel as though I had a cokehead running the country who used the old joke, "The only thing with more chins than <insert fat person's nam here> is <insert Asian country here...minus the island countries>!" to guess the Prime Minister or President, or whatever it was that he was asked, of one of the Koreas...i can't even remember what it was he was asked...but he CLEARLY guessed "Chin" and got the other 2 people wrong...remember? Oh, c'mon, you know what i'm talking about...
