Bush with higher approval rating than Clinton?

Plus, when everyone starts receiving the "phantom tax cut" checks, people will be well pleased with the administration's activities. 😉

I will be too!

Well woopdy f*ckin-do. What is it with you guys? These aren't football teams. Are you 'winning' now or something? Maybe your ego is a little more puffed up.

What will really matters is whether the economy rebounds or not.

Oh, but I will enjoy my 600 bucks.

FWIW, I think he is doing ok, he got the tax cut through, is pushing education reform, and most importantly, he is showing flexibility on the issues. I was afraid that despite all the talk that he would get things done, that he would actually just stand his ground and cause gridlock. At this point it looks to me that he is willing to comprise to a degree and the congress is where the gridlock comes from. Now if he can get congress to work for the good of the country instead of their special interests, that would be great.

Jeez, you continue to be wound up about this . . . the fact of the matter is that approval ratings are of dubious value this early in a presidency, and in point of fact most commentators feel his ratings are still low given that he succeeded on the only issue he seemed to know or care about during his campaign (read: the tax cut).

His recent increase FINALLY pushes his popularity higher than Clinton's was during the impeachment - Bush's previous, 52% rating was lower than what Clinton had at any time during the last five years of his presidency.

I for one am ambivalent about the significance of these polls, but Tominator certainly seems to love 'em!

Note:

That was PRE failure of campaign finance reform.

I watched that on C-span. It was the most devious, diabolical I have ever seen in Congress. I was ashamed, and still ashamed, of them.

I wonder how far he dropped after that.

fir3wir3,who the hell let you back in? After the way you screwed over other traders I thought you'd be history. I guess not.

Just because Bush has better ratings than Clinton doesn't mean he's doing a good job. Most of you thought Clinton was the worst president ever. Well comparing Bush to Clinton is like comparing Day old Dog crap to fresh Dog Crap. The Fresh Dog Crap (Clinton) Smells worse than the day old Dog Crap (Bush) but the Day Old Dog Crap still smells real bad.

How can anyone be satisfied with such a weak Prersident as Bush. He let the Chinese Bully him out of selling Aegis Missle Cruisers to Taiwan and he has the Religious right's and the Zealot Ultar Conservatives arms are elbow deep up his arse. The Man's speech's read like they were written by Dr. Suess and he hasn't had an original thought since he's been president. Yeah his ratings are better than Clinton's, big deal. I'm sure at times Stalins rating's were better than Hitlers, but he was still an abomination.

You guys that are pounding your chests over this are nothing more the mindless buffoons that are easily manipulated by your bitch masters, the Republican Party

Arrogant prick, err... red dawn,

I screwed NOBODY out of NOTHING.

I was never banned...so there was no "letting me back in"

Where you get info that I did, I dont know...but its incorrect.

"At the same point in Bill Clinton's presidency in 1993, Clinton's approval rating was 45%."

Don_Vito, for you being so "ambivalent " about polls you don't seem to mind distorting them to try and make a point. If we are going to compare apples to apples, compare them at the same time of their presidency.

It will be interesting to see how Pres. Bush's 2-8 year ratings compare to Clintons but that is still a few years off.

I havn't checked recently, does the current campaign finance bills still limit corporations but not unions in the right to free speech.

Its not a phantom tax cut or just some stupid refund idea like the liberals always try to push through, next year you will actually pay less in taxes. The refund was ONLY the retroactive part of the tax cut kicking in, there's more to come. Hopefully a LOT more if bush has his way.

<< Please explain who I screwed. >>

I see that you are a non repetent stank.

OK thew guy who boyught a computer from you, a computer that you didn't have the parts for at the time he bought it but you neglected to mention it to him. Of course because you didn't have the parts it took much much longer for him to receive it and when it he did receive it it was built like a 5 year old assembled it. On top of that it was so carelessly packaged that it was trashed during transit. Of course you didn't offer a solution or any type of fix for this situation when he first brought it to your attention so he had to post about it in the For Sale Forum just to get you to act upon it. Whether you finally made it good or not I don't know. I do know that your original actions werer those of a scammer and a bad trader and I am dissapointed that they didn't ban you from the forums for your deceit.

ahh

but you dont even know the whole story.... Do you believe everything you read...w/ out knowing any other info?

Was that a bad deal? Yes. It was. I'm not denying that.

That is why you wont see me selling a computer on here anymore...because the other computer I sold was to matt nelson...who paid via a fradulent CC and then expected me to help him w/ it. so he left me a bad feedback.

1 bad deal (when the other person was certainly not "screwed&quot😉 out of the 200+ I've done is not bad I'd say. I've done everything I can to help him w/ his situation too... so I dont understand how that makes me a bad trader.

Red, for the record you are wrong on what happened with Taiwan and the Aegis destroyes.

You have said for months that the energy companies have their "arms are elbow deep up his arse", have you checked the price of gasoline recently.

It looks like you are still upset McCain was exposed and not nominated.

<< It looks like you are still upset McCain was exposed and not nominated. >>

It looks like you are a Bush Asslicker who's sole purpose to be here is to try and make the Rebuplicans looks less vile than the Democrats. Well guess what Bubba, they aren't. In fact anytime someone says something that might be construed as a negative comment about your Hero Bush or your Party the Republicans you come running as fast as you can with your cut and Paste Jobs defending them like your life depended on it.

<< Hit a nerve there Red? >>

I'm not the one who came running to defend Bush like you do every single time someone says something that isn't pleasing. It's like you feel so guilty about voting him in that you have to defend his actions so you won't look like a complete sellout, even though you are.

Nice Red, wrong and putting words in my mouth, but nice.

Notice I said wrong and misinformation, now you have it down to "isn't pleasing".

I have no idea why you made up the "complete sellout" bit, you must be having a bad day. I hope it gets better for you.

McCain has asked for some alarming restrictions to our freedoms in his "campaign finance reform".

Freedom of speech is a vital ingredient in keeping a Nation free.

Although I honor him for his integrity, perhaps all those years in a Hanoi prison have twisted the mind of Senator McCain.

Thank God, McCains' Bill went down in a ball of blistering and humiliating flames.

🙂

All one has to do is use the search feature and input Etech. THey'd see that you are single minded and mimic everything that the Bushits say about their boy. I wouldn't be surprised if you were related to Bush the way you suck up to him and every thing he does.

In all fairness etech may just be suffering from the excessive heavy metals in our groundwater here in central Oklahoma. I know I am feeling rather less, er, intellectually spry than I was when I moved to this backwater state, though it is hard to tell whether that is a function of the dearth of culture or the overabundance of arsenic!
