First of all, Reagan broke the year 0 curse. Second of all, that is a terrible thing to say about our nation's president, no matter what you think of him.

War didn't help his daddy, and it's not helping GW now. Just like with his daddy, "It's the economy, stupid."

Agreed.

Personally, I like Bush! LOL, but then, I have family members in pretty high up govt, and I'd like to see them keep their jobs. Besides, he's not that bad, and has great faces that look like monkeys 😉

No, there is only the infortunate possibility that he might win his first term. He can have only two terms and he was not elected in this first one.

Thanks for reiterating your favorite line of B.S., moonbeam. You know, you sometimes spout deep and meaningful sayings but destroy it all with ignorant postings like that.

I thought the re-counts showed that he won Florida? I don't know if he won the popular vote, but the popular vote doesn't matter. Presidents aren't elected by the popular vote. Maybe they should be... but they aren't.

See sig.

GW will not be able to maintain this war indefintely, regardless of rhetoric. The public will not tolerate it. In fact, they want it to be over already so that more attention can be paid to the continuously ailing economy. In the end, that is all the voters really care about.

The economy has cycles, and we're just in a down swing. People make it sound like fixing the economy is so easy... just elect their favorite candidate. If it was that easy, we'd be in constant prosperity and we wouldn't be having these and and down cycles like we've been having since the beginning of our economy.

Nope, Bush won the recounts in all kinds of ways but the ones that matter. Total statewide vote of all ballots legally countable by state law, Gore won. The way you are supposed to win the election is the way gore won. Bush and the Supreme Coup stopped the count. Naturally, the exit polls had been right and they knew it.

I agree; well said. Things HERE at home do need fixing, and that will happen.

Our President is currently taking care of the #1 priority right now and that is protecting the American people from terror. Hopefully, a side benefit to freeing the Iraqi people is that the other Arab countries will see how happy the free people will be and they will be more inclinined to "have better relations" with the USA.

I know I'll be voting for Bush. Again.

sorry..i dont believe that. as long as bush does his tapdance/smoke and mirrors act about the war on terrorism, the majority of the voting american public will buy it.
