As for Bush, if I remember correctly, he received a "Gentleman's Grade" at Yale(that means C).

Also, like I already said, he got in based more on his status as a rich legacy student, whom, while having a slightly higher than average SAT score at the time, was definately not let because of his academic standing.

Typical liberal ploy, avoid the issue and talk about something else. The comments i objected to were about calling Bush "stupid", or more precisely having a "below average" intellect. Bush's SAt score and ability to successfully matriculate from Yale, and subsequently the Harvard School of Business fly in the face of this assertion.

I never doubt for a moment that Bush's legacy status helped him gain admission to Yale, and probably Harvard. But it didn't assure him of successfully completing his degree at either institution (certainly Al Gore benefitted from the same "VIP" treatment that Bush had, by Gore dropped out of TWO post-graduate programs)

Your trying to change the discussion from "he's stupid" to "he's to stupid to get into Yale on his own"..
well, that probably describes 99% of the general public (including those that post here)....

Avoid the issue? The last time I checked how you get into a school and how well you do there is a good judgment on the capability of the student.

Also, Gore isn't the President and I never voted for him; so quit assuming.
