OK for all you people who hate bush and blame all their problems on him. Tell me what all mighty Al Gore would have done to make the country perfect like you think he would. All I hear is bush does this wrong and he wont do this. So I ask you what would Mr Perfect Al Gore do?

This is a moot point since, Bush won the presidency (not the election). I don't know how Gore would have done in the white house, it would be foolish to speculate whether he would do better or worse.

I'm just see it as it is, this man George W. Bush isnt doing a good job as a president. He broke many promises he made, he makes economic policies that doesnt make sense, he makes us look bad to the rest of the world, he appoints a fascist as Attorney General, he ran up the federal deficit to the highest it's been in history, he hasnt gotten Bin Laden instead he dragged us into war with Iraq that makes no sense... since theres no WMDs nor links to Al Qaeda found.

Not to mention his history with substance abuse, going AWOL for military services, his history with oil dictator countries like Saudi Arabia, and have you heard the guy speak?

/me shakes my head :disgust:

I doubt Gore would have done worse than Bush/

Gore would have invaded New Zeland and freed the Mauri who were opressed by the British so Blair would have declared war on the US. With that, Iraq would have joined the US because they know we be stronger and Al Qaeda would have reported on tape that Gadaffi was their next target. Sharron would have married the Taliban princess Abu bun Ugly and Akbar O'toole would have over thrown the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and the Irish Catholic would have moved there. So if Gore had been sucessfull in the Supreme thwart all this surely would have come to pass.

The Supreme Thwart, man is that great. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The economy would be humming because all the Republican rage and anal pressure would be expressing itself in aggressive blood thirsty profitable business, there'd be lots of jobs, Al Quaeda would have 50 GIs on every one of their asses and lots of Iraqi children that were alive two months ago would still be. The mess in Israel wouldn't have flared back up and there'd be lots of progress in NK. The world would still love us and wouldn't think we were all insane two year old cowboys. Women, minorities, the environment and humanity in general might have a better future. We wouldn't have phony colours and homeland security joke complete with a Traitor's Act. Asscrack would be a footnote. Normal people would be optimistic. Ken Lay would be in jail. Bush is a total disaster.

That has to be the best thing I've ever heard anyone say about her. I can't believe anyone wouldn't want Al Gore as President if his wife could keep this crap away from us. :D

Hearing him speak is almost as bad as reading what you type.

Mr.Perfect Al Gore? Never met the man. Not even his brother, Mr.Outstanding Al Gore. Did you maybe mean Mr-anybody-would-be-better-than-Bush-Lite Al Gore, the guy who ran in the 2000 presidential election?

In all seriousness, the one major difference if we had a Democratic president is bipartisan checks and balances. The dolts in Congress would have to cooperate with the dolt in the White House to get anything done.

It would take Gore forever to figure out retalliation for the terrorist attacks. All major cities would be wiped out. However, the only infrastructure left would be the Internet, making Gore more arrogant than he already is. He will finance a Pope-mobile so he can parade around, spreading the good news of the internet...

Interesting subject some years ago about "How was your last name developed". Bush and Gore seems appropriate, don't you think. Liberman and Chainey another pair of reflective thinking there.
Bush will never be a tree and Chainey free whereas Gore is frightfull and Liberman will never be more than..... ?

I voted Perot in '92 because he was business oriented but, without a promise to keep. His economic thoughts were as mine. No one would have invaded the US with him at the helm. A loose cannon is sure to go off if jangled a bit.. the axis would have trembled.
MOAB would stand for "Miracles often appear belatedly" and he would have populated the administration with the best of the best who were in it to turn America into the America we all want it to be. If he had done the job, Clinton and Bush would just be non thoughts.
Too bad he was so unpolitical in his dealing with the population... It would have been better for us all me thinks.

I wouldn't say I think Gore would be better. However, I'm saying Bush isn't doing very good. I'm also saying that Gore would not be worse.

Golly Gore did not win the election so how can anyone possibly answer your question? Is this an effort to distract attention away from GWB? Also you better get use to people criticizing GWB. It goes with the job.

I don't think Gore or the people he would have around him would have come up with the notion that to be against the war was to be against the troops.. What a PR coup that was.
Shut up alot of anti war voices... and put the rest on the defence... a real good move on the part of the Bush masters.

Coulda fooled Moonbeam ;)

Anyway - the thread's topic is based on speculation so it inherently calls for a poster's opinions.

My opinion is that he wouldn't have been able to stop the economic slide caused by the tech bubble bursting. I also think his reaction would have been just as quick and "harsh" as Bush's in the wake of 9/11. But I think he would have let Iraq slide and the UN probably would have lifted sanctions on Saddam which would ensure the torture, rape, and murder of thousands of Iraqis per year.

But I thank God that Gore wasn't elected so we didn't have to find out if my speculations would have been correct.:D

The FCC has already taken care of that by restricting 64k and 128k dialup modem technology.

Whats the point? You can't go back, only foreword. Research the current candidates and vote. All the conservative Republicans that think President Bush is a shoe-in for re-election should remember how close the last election was and how the big cities voted, liberal. Every vote is important and make sure you know how to cast the ballot.
