<< where are you getting your facts from! "hindu is a religion that was formed to resist the muslim invasion..."?! first, just like christian is not a religion, hindu is not a religion. a hindu is a follower of hinduism, just as a christian is a follower of christianity. second, hinduism is one of the oldest religions of the world. it existed thousands of years before islam or christianity. i think you are confusing sikhism with hinduism. "Muslims have numerous branches like christianity.."? Christianity is not a branch of Islam, though Christ is considered a prophet by the Muslims. Finally, not all of Kashmir is desolate mountain land. from what i've read, the summer capital area, srinagar, is a very beautiful, scenic valley in the himalayas. >>
By jove you are correct about the confusion of the sikhs and hindus, my apologies. But aside from that as well the religions clash and everyone knows that religions can't coexist...
*cough* holy wars, crusades, protestants, the catholic-baptist feud, Palestine and Israel, and pretty much every religion is guilty of it in one way or another...be it armed confrontation or the hare krishnas at the airport, the jehovas witness's going door to door, or those christian zealots that pass out those "if you die tomorrow do you know if you will go to heaven" cards...forcing their religion on others. I had not heard of srinagar as well. Thanks for enlightening me.
Did not the talibans originate in Pakistan anyways and isn't there alot of kill all American pigs mentality prevalent in Pakistan anyways? During the opening days of the whole ordeal with Afghanistan, the terrorists where inside the borders of Pakistan as well as Afghanistan and some other countries. As far as I am concerned they were knowingly harboring terrorists as well. It's just the question whether they did it out of fear or out of sympathy.
