Recession designed to make the rich richer and the poor poorer

Poor lose more assets -- Rich buy them up for cheap and have more power

Bush didn't want to fix it

Yeah, and look what's happening now. Big banks are profiting, their employees are getting massive bonuses, and 10-20% of the average joe's are looking for work. Change? Nope.

Please stop bumping these ancient threads. It was funny when FNE did it for comedic effect with that one thread...now it's just old.

That would almost be funny if it weren't for the most part true. Lotsa folks are losing their shirts (and homes and retirement savings) in this one.

Not saying that Bush wanted to run us in a ditch ---- he just hoped to avoid it happening on his watch.

Words have meaning, now and forever; or in the case of "Bush: U.S. is not headed for recession", no basis in reality.

Sticking your head in the sand and not being responsible for your past actions is no way to run a railroad, Sparky.

I make a post about bumping ancient threads over and over again, and you go into some kind of partisan political attack.

Good thing I'll never have to see your drivel again. :)

I love these new forums.

Put down that pipe. Your Paranoia is showing and you have lost touch with reality.

But that has pretty much always been the case with you. I look forward to seeing what types of future crow you will be injesting from some of your prior partisan 'nuggets'.

But I'm thinking, as typical, you won't take any responsibility for them.

HHBB, why reply to someone who just said he put you on his ignore list? At least you got the last word in. LOL

Mehh.

Internet tough-guys and whiners make hollow threats because of their impudence. He'll threaten two-thirds of ATP&N with the 'Iggy' before it's all over with and not follow through. In his mind that's the final argument and his last word on the matter. He has been whining about the thread bumps elsewhere, too.

It's like Fez with "I said, 'Good day!' " - LOL - RPS is throwing up his hand.

I still can't figure out why he got his panties in a wadd --- that's about as nice as I've ever been to Bush :)

What is the purpose of forums if there is no communication?

I'd hardly call the personal insults and political attacks (his MO, BTW) heyheybooboo posted in response to a neutral comment I made about resurrecting old threads over and over again "communication".

:)

P&N is such a nicer place after the switch to vb. Not much, but a little bit. :p

Not to worry, the current congress and administration are ensuring the banks (and a few other mega-corps) continue to profit, some even reporting record profits. If you ask pretty please they might even give you a reach around while they royally fuck you.

I would type more but I have an appointment to look at a house that I can't afford (not to worry, the gov will guarantee my loan), value is being artificially raised (WOOHOO, not only can I not afford the loan they are gonna give me but I won't be able to sell the house for what I owe when I figure out I can't afford it) and I don't even need a down payment because the gov has that covered for me too!!!

What could possibly go wrong?

What's the bigger failure? Not seeing the recession coming or bumping a nearly two year old thread about it?

This is the third old thread along the same lines that has been bumped recently. We got it the first time; it's getting obnoxious.

I didn't do it to amuse you; if you don't like it don't enter the thread and stop bitching about it like a spoiled baby. Why don't you just put us all on your ignore list and then you can stare at empty threads.

Skoorb I agree with RyanPaulShaffer on this one. Bumping ancient threads got tiresome real fast. Hopefully you and FNE get a new hobby. The ignore list is a more sutiable tool for someone who consistently makes stupid posts which is not your situation.

Actually ATPN is one of the few boards where bumping threads actually makes sense. The subjects of old threads, and the OPs themselves have made some sweeping predictions that can now be discussed with hindsight.

In ATLR or ATOT though, it's generally just dumb.
